Celebrating LGBTQ+ inclusion at the Out For Sport Festival

Two years, one growing community: nearly 700 people have now come together at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre to celebrate LGBTQ+ inclusion through sport at the Out For Sport Festival.

More than just trying new sports

The LGBTQ+ Out For Sport Festival isn’t only about sport. It’s about finding community. It’s a chance to meet new people, share stories, and enjoy physical activity and wellbeing in an environment where everyone is accepted for who they are. From basketball and rugby to jujitsu, netball, squash, and more, the variety of sessions means there’s something for everyone.

Despite the soaring temperatures, spirits stayed high and the sense of community was stronger than ever.

A big thank you

Huge thanks to the dedicated clubs, passionate volunteers, and Crystal Palace National Sports Centre for hosting and supporting this event. Without this collective effort, none of this would be possible. Sport has the power to bring people together, boost wellbeing, and foster belonging, especially for LGBTQ+ individuals who have often faced exclusion. The Out For Sport Festival is a celebration of that power and a step toward a more inclusive future in sport.
