FEDERATION OF GAY GAMES OPENS REGISTRATIONS FOR GAY GAMES 10 PARIS 2018

800 days to the games, early bird sign-up incentives, fees increase after 1,000 registrations

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA, USA (13 May 2016) The Federation of Gay Games (FGG) announced today the major milestone of opening registration for Gay Games 10, taking place in Paris, France in 2018. Early registration is encouraged with incentives at https://www.paris2018.com/.

“We are tremendously excited to invite the world to register and begin plans to rendez-vous in Paris for the 2018 Gay Games 10!,” states FGG Co-President Joanie Evans (London, England), “With approximately 800 days to the games, it gives athletes, organizers and artists the vital and valuable time to plan – and train, in some cases – for what may be the best and largest Gay Games yet.” Officer of Host Relations, Armin Lohrman (Cologne, Germany), continues, “this is the earliest that a Gay Games registration has ever been opened; we have worked very hard to get the registration operational as soon as possible.”

The first 1,000 registrations made before 31 May 2016 will be at the “Very Early Bird” base rate of € 120. Registration costs will increase on a regular basis, so the earlier one registers the lower the cost. In addition to the base rate are fees for chosen sports and culture activities; 36 sports and 14 cultural events are available overall.

Base registration fees include the participation and full experience of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, transportation pass (Paris metro, bus and RER train), Official Program Book, Welcome Bag and the Official Gay Games 10 Paris 2018 Participation Medal.

“Paris is the ideal host to celebrate this 10th edition, where 15,000 athletes and artists from over 70 countries are expected to take part,” states Manuel Picaud, Co-President of the Paris 2018 Board of Directors. “With the support of all major sporting and government bodies, Paris 2018 is preparing the Games that will celebrate diversity, respect, equality, solidarity and sharing… all equal.”

Gay Games 10 Paris 2018 will take place 04-12 August 2018. Registration, travel assistance and further information is available at https://www.paris2018.com/.
