Join the Out For Sport network

Out For Sport supports LGBTQ+ inclusive sports clubs across London and the South East. Membership gives your club visibility, connections, and the support to grow, so more LGBTQ+ people can find you and feel welcome.

Which membership is right for you?

We offer two tiers depending on where your club is based and who it’s for. Applications are free, and fees only apply if your application is approved.

Full membership: £25/year

For LGBTQ+ inclusive amateur sports clubs based in London or the South East that:

Were set up by and for the LGBTQ+ community
Run regular sessions focused on LGBTQ+ communities
Actively create safe, welcoming spaces for LGBTQ+ people

Associate membership: £15/year

For UK amateur sports clubs that are either:

Set up by and for the LGBTQ+ community, based outside London or the South East
Not exclusively LGBTQ+ focused, but actively supporting LGBTQ+ communities

Frequently asked questions

Is it free to apply?
Yes. Applications are free. If your application is approved, you’ll be invited to pay the annual membership fee for your chosen tier.

Can we apply at any time?
Yes, membership is rolling. Your annual membership runs for 12 months from the date it starts.

What happens after I apply?
We’ll review your application and get back to you via the email you provided. If approved, you’ll receive everything you need to get started.

I’ve applied but haven’t heard back. What should I do?
Get in touch via email and we’ll check on your application.

How do I renew?
You’ll receive a renewal reminder before your membership expires. Renewal is simple and can be done online.

Do we have to participate in everything?
Not at all. You’re welcome to engage at whatever level works for your club.

What if my club is inclusive but doesn’t run LGBTQ+ specific sessions?
You’re welcome to apply for Associate membership, which is designed for inclusive or ally-run clubs.

Can individuals join?
Membership is for amateur sports clubs only. If you’re an individual or organisation that wants to support LGBTQ+ sport, visit our Support LGBTQ+ Sport page.
