New sports and clubs join all the time, and we’re happy to help you find one that feels right. Running an LGBTQ+ inclusive club? Become a member and get listed.
Many LGBTQ+ sports clubs welcome complete beginners and place as much emphasis on community as competition. Whether you’re looking for a social activity, a new challenge or an LGBTQ+ sports tournament, there’s a club ready to welcome you.
Yes, and more. Every club in the Out For Sport network is LGBTQ+ inclusive, welcoming gay, lesbian, bi, trans, non-binary and queer people, as well as allies. Some clubs also run sessions just for women, men, or trans and non-binary people. Use the ‘Sessions for’ filter to find them.
Do I need to be experienced to join a club?
No. Most clubs in the network run beginner-friendly sessions, and many welcome complete newcomers. Use the “Beginner friendly” toggle to see them.
Can I try a club before joining?
Yes. Many clubs offer a free taster session so you can meet people and try the sport first. Use the “Free taster” toggle to find them, then open the club’s card for details.
How do I join a club?
Each club runs its own membership. Open a club’s card and use its website, social or email links to get in touch. They’ll tell you about sessions, fees and how to sign up.
Why can’t I see training times or venues for every club?
Some clubs prefer not to share where and when they meet publicly, for their members’ safety. Get in touch with the club directly and they’ll share the details with you.
My sport isn’t listed. What can I do?
We’re always adding clubs to the network. Get in touch and let us know what you’re looking for, as we may know of a club that isn’t listed yet.
How can my club be listed here?
Clubs appear here through membership of the Out For Sport network. Clubs set up by and for LGBTQ+ people can apply to join, as can grassroots clubs that actively welcome and support LGBTQ+ players, as long as they’re based in London or the South East.
Once membership is confirmed, the club gets its own listing, along with promotion, invitations to our events and connections with other clubs to learn from. Membership benefits has the full details and the application form.
