Run for SPECTRA - 26th November 2017

Taking place on 26 November 2017, the World AIDS Day Red Run is a 5K or 10K charity run through leafy Victoria Park, east London, now in its 8th year. Last year the Red Run helped to raise over £60,000 for local HIV services.

This year the Red Run is supporting 28 HIV charities across the UK, including Spectra.www.spectra-london.org.uk

HERE’S THE SCIENCE BIT……

There are currently 103,000 people living with HIV in the UK, increasing on average by 6,000 per year.  Medical advancements are now at the point where the average life expectancy for someone living with HIV in the UK is the same as someone who is not. However, an HIV diagnosis still carries a lot of stigma and fear and HIV services and HIV activism are still very important.

For more details of events arranged to support our runners on the day, visit the official Red Run website at www.redrun.org.uk which will give you up to date information on the registration process, route, pre- and post-run events and much much more.

So, sign up now to support Spectra Charity as your chosen charity to run for. Register at the official Red Run website or alternatively, you can arrange to fund raise for Spectra via our JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/spectracharity

And of course, all ages and abilities are welcome!  For more information please contact John Dugdale – john@spectra-london.org.uk
